  3. SYNTAX:  DIR [d:] [path] [filename[.ext]] [/P] [/W]

  6.       DIR lists the files and subdirectories found in the current directory.  
  7. The /P parameter causes the listing to pause each time the screen fills.
  8. Normally, the listing shows only one file on each line.  If you use the /W
  9. parameter, however, each line will contain five files.
